Ran across your blog and found it interesting. At Mission Discovery we require a training course for all leaders taking groups on project before they join us. We also partner with indiginous pastors on the field to insure followup of the Mission Discovery project.

I am just a layman, but my thoughts on journeys like we offer are simple-that we are commanded to go...not stay.

I actually pray more about whether I am led to go on vacation more than I do about a missions trip invitation.

Hi,

I just came upon your blog. I'm currently on furlough after spending two years on the mission field in Europe. Part of the reason I'm back in the States after two years of being on the field is due to the weakened dollar. I need to raise just over 2,000 per month to keep up with the dollar - Euro exchange rate. I appreciate your honesty. I'm also a coach for other newly appointed missionaries just raising their support. So I was scanning the internet when I came upon your blog. I appreciate the blog on the boot camp - something my organization now requires.

Thanks, KT
